The YBSGO mobile application (hereinafter referred to as "the Application") is jointly created by GO Transit and YBS Explorers. We embarked on this journey with the goal of improving the bus riding experience for the residents of Yangon by providing accessible and reliable public transportation information. This Privacy Policy outlines our practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of information in connection with your use of the YBSGO Application. By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

YBSGO is designed with user privacy as a core principle. We explicitly state that the Application does not directly collect any personal information from its users. This includes, but is not limited to:

Personal Identifiable Information (PII): We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, physical address, date of birth, or any other information that could directly identify you.

Account Information: There is no user registration or account creation process required to use the Application. Consequently, we do not store any user account details.

Payment Information: The Application is entirely free to use, and no in-app purchases or subscriptions are offered. Therefore, we do not collect any financial or payment information.

Location Data: While the Application provides map-based information, it does not track or collect your real-time geographical location data. All map and route functionalities are processed locally on your device.

Usage Data (Analytics): We do not employ third-party analytics tools or collect anonymized usage statistics (e.g., app crashes, feature usage, device type). The Application operates independently on your device without transmitting such data to our servers.

2. How Information (or Lack Thereof) Is Used

Since YBSGO does not collect any personal or usage information, we do not use such information for any purpose. The Application's functionalities, such as displaying bus routes and stops, calculating distances, and providing offline map access, are entirely self-contained and processed exclusively on your mobile device. There is no external transmission or processing of any user-related data by GO Transit or YBS Explorers.

3. Information Retention and Security

As the YBSGO application does not collect or transmit user data, there is no information to retain on our servers. All data relevant to the Application's functionality (e.g., map data, route information) is stored locally on your device as part of the application installation. We do not have access to this data once the application is installed on your device.

While we do not handle user data, we are committed to ensuring the security of the Application itself. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the Application from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

4. Sharing Information with Third Parties

Consistent with our policy of not collecting personal information, GO Transit and YBS Explorers will not share, sell, rent, or exchange any personal or usage information with any third parties, including government entities, private companies, advertisers, or other organizations. There is simply no user data to share.

5. Children's Privacy

The YBSGO Application is intended for a general audience and is not specifically directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently received personal information from a user under the age of 13, we will take steps to delete such information from our records. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's online activities and to help enforce this policy by instructing their children never to provide personal information through the Application.

6. Links to Other Websites/Resources (If Applicable)

The YBSGO Application is designed to be self-contained. However, in future updates, if the Application were to include links to external websites or resources (e.g., official transportation authority websites for real-time updates), please note that this Privacy Policy would only apply to the YBSGO Application itself. We would not be responsible for the privacy practices or the content of any third-party websites or services. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you visit.
